Although you may hold an Asylum Seeker or Refugee permit, you are still classified as an international student and must complete international clearance by submitting your valid, certified permit together with the ISO Form to the International Office. However, you will be treated as a local/South African student for fee purposes: you are exempt from the compulsory medical aid requirement, you pay tuition at the local student rate rather than the international rate, and you are not charged international levies.
